Tim Neill and James McHaffie are back after a little over a month spent enjoying (?) the southern summer in Patagonia.
This season, in contrast to last year, the Patagonian weather has been living up to its infamous reputation, with mucho viento and very few settled weather windows.
But the pair finished their trip on a high with the third ascent of a stunning ice and mixed climb, Super Domo, on Cerro Domo Blanco. It had only had its first ascent a week earlier.
Their accounts of the trip are well worth a read: Tim Neill Guiding and James McHaffie Climbing.
Thanks to James for sending us these shots: (top-bottom) Tim Neill on the upper section of Super Domo, The Fitzroy range and James McHaffie on the summit of Cerro Domo Blanco along with the back cover of his Climbers against Cancer 2014 Calendar [Good effort!].
Incidentally, congratulations to Climbers Against Cancer on its first birthday this week!
