Shadow Straight
We have manufactured this series of biners from a new alloy which when combined with our I-Beam hot forging technology gives even greater strength - the Shadow features a massive 10kN gate open strength.
The Shadow also incorporates a new keylock nose to avoid the biner snagging on the bolts, or the rope. This is particularly useful when stripping steep routes or when the biner is used for racking gear.
Ergonomically this biner feels right and clipping is really easy. The gate is heavily curved so that the rope falls into the biner with the minimum of fuss, whilst the inside of the biner has a deep basket so that the rope is guided towards the spine for added safety.
The Shadow is completely anodised to help combat corrosion and prolong life in hot, or salty environments.
The Shadow is the new benchmark for performance and safety.
Features:
- I-Beam construction for strength and lightness
- Clean nose closure for anti snag clipping/unclipping
- Hot Forged
- Traditional straight/bent gates
- CNC’d thumb recess on gate for easier operation

Reviews:
"If karabiners got into bar fights (unlikely, I know) you would want to be on the same side as the Shadow. It's the welterweight champ of the karabiner ring; still light enough to be fast but has some serious muscle."
"So if you want sport climbing-specific krab, or just a non wire-gate, general quickdraw that will last forever, then the Shadows should be at the top of your list."Toby Archer, UKClimbing.com, August 2008
