Ultra O

DMM have been asked to produce a series of Oval carabiners for some time. We were hesitant because we wanted to design a new generation of oval carabiners, but were worried about the potential costings.

The momentum to start the project finally came when we started producing pulleys for our industrial, arborist and technical rescue customers and the pulley range needed a range of ovals to create a hauling system.

Typically we have raised the bar on oval carabiners with our new Ultra O range. The bodies are hot forged with I-Beam panels and the result is a super strong keylock carabiner with a major axis strength of 25kN and a minor axis strength of 12kN.

A lot of people will see this as the ultimate racking carabiner. It is also a lovely aid climbing carabiner with a really wide, 9.75mm rope radius that is kind to marginal gear. Totally anodised with a gate that has rivet in a contrasting colour for easy recognition of the gate opening end.

Naturally it also works very well in pulley systems and locking versions are also available.
